My motivation was short. a remarkable initiative and very necessary. In my vision it is unbelievable that girls and women mutilate their genitals because of some kind of beauty ideal.

My painting depicts mutilation and the effect it will have, mental and or physical, on them. The eye of the world according to plastic surgeons, or other people, ready to ‘cut’ or mutilate the female genitals. It is repugnant when girls and women cannot be happy and get mutilated.
